Banning AI in classrooms is a lot like trying to ban the calculator in the primo. It just stops pupils from learning how to use it effectively. Banning it is just dumb. It's saying the teachers can't keep up with the AI so we've decided to ban it in favor of the dinosaurs. The same reasons school deprived us of modern media skills by banning radios and TVs in school.
​This is so dumb because the chance that knowing how to manipulate AI is perhaps the most important skill of the next generation is non-negligible, so banning it because it isn't compatible with the old ways of indoctrinating pupils is ridiculous.
​The onus should be on the teachers to step up, not to handicap pupils instead.
